Luke: Mama, ya know how much I love you? Up to God and back! :)
-------------
{Luke & Taylor have some random bug and I checked taylor to see if she still had a fever and she did...}
Taylor: WHEN am I gonna be healed?
Luke: Let me pray for you....{prayed} okay now it should take about ten minutes. :)
-------------
{let our dog out this morning and we heard him barking. Our neighbor dog was walking down the road}
Taylor: Ali that was not very nice to bark at Kevin's dog. You need to be nice and be friends with him. He was just trying ti go home. Can you try to be nice next time, Ali?
--------------
Luke and Taylor are running around the house and Taylor keeps falling...saying ouch...Luke asks her if she's okay. She says no... Her "whatever" hurts... Then he prays for her "whatever" to be healed and then helps her up....this has just happened about 10 times. Lol
--------------
{after Taylor was not staying RIGHT with us in the store, Luke started crying because he was so frustrated that she was purposely walking very slow and looking at things to irritate him}
Luke: Taylor if you don't stay right with us I'm gonna have to hold your hand.
Taylor: You aren't my parent Luke.
Luke: It's my job to protect you and I don't want you getting lost. So you need to stay with us.
Taylor: Relax Luke.
Luke: Taylor it's my job to protect you so I'm doing my job.
{then the ride home}
Luke: Taylor you know I was just trying to protect you in the store.
Taylor: I know Luke, you're a nice brother.
----------------
Luke: We hadn't seen Danen and Mike in a long time. We really missed them. :) {instead of the kids usual bible audio CDs they requested their new Danen cd to go to bed to. I hear Taylor clapping...wonder how long it'll take to fall asleep to. :)} — with Danen Kane.
----------------
{overheard Luke and Taylor talking about what all the kids were dressed up as at the harvest party and then Taylor mentioned an adult...}
Taylor: And Tyler was a Viking...
Luke: Who's Tyler?
Taylor: You know Tyler and Sarah, he's friends with Philip, worships with Philip, plays the guitar, he just got married to Sarah, Luke you know who Tyler is.
Luke: yeah, I thought you meant a kid.
{this sounded like a grown up convo to me. Lol} — with Sarah Hornberger and Tyler Hornberger.
----------------
This morning Luke was so cute talking with Olivia. They were giggling at each other, she was squealing and smiling and cooing at him and he was playing with the little bit of hair she has and telling her how cute she is.
{ then Taylor gets up and they start arguing over who she talks to more}
----------------
There's currently a mouse in our pantry and I am NOT okay with that. I screamed when I moved something in there and it almost ran over my hand, woke Taylor from her nap....she comes out....okay MOM, what should I do? (I LOVE that girl!) (standing in a very serious stance like she was about to take off on a race)....Told her to wait there and tell me if it comes out while I get something to stuff under the door so Daddy can get it when he comes home. First downfall I've discovered of living in a field. :/ {chills}
----------------
Taylor's trying to teach Luke ballet positions in the shower. Lol
----------------

---------------
Told Luke this morning were going to a place called Chocolate World and his eyes and smile got huge! :)
---------------
Got Taylor a new pair of sneakers and Luke looked at my dead seriously concerned. Luke: Mama, is she gonna be able to run faster than me now?
---------------
Taylor's been playing with a lady bug this morning and she keeps talking to it and giggling... Calling it lil lady. Lol
---------------
Luke and Taylor are arguing about whether Olivia is gonna be a ballerina or a street hockey player. Clearly she only has two choices. ;)
--------------
November 17
Yay for rice cereal Olivia. First time trying it out.
--------------
Best sound: listening to Olivia, Luke and Taylor ALL 3 giggling hysterically.
--------------
Luke just convinced Taylor to help him clean up his room because he needed a helping hand and two are better than one in everything they do. Lol {Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.}(Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIRV)
-------------
Kids are gagging because I'm making sauerkraut.
Taylor: Seriously mama, why would anyone eat that, it smells ridiculous.
-------------
Luke and Taylor used a half a bottle of shower gel while I was tending to Olivia. They smell good.... But they are sliding all over the place in the shower.
-------------
{Luke playing goalie}
Luke: Mom, when you say, Score! When you score, that's kinda like bragging and I don't really like that.
Luke: mama, its a good thing I like playing goalie cuz you don't like getting hit, do ya mom? { speaks the truth}

Taylor came out of her bedroom this morning with one of her little baby dolls swaddled and calling her baby Olivia. ♥

-----------------

I feel for Olivia if she has personal space issues...because Taylor can't stop touching, kissing and hugging her. :)

-----------------

Taylor: Mom! There's a creepy bug in our yard. I don't like it. Luke get it.
Luke: Taylor, you do not have a spirit of fear, so you shouldn't be afraid.
{can you tell what verse we learned? 2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.}

----------------

{Taylor was trying to come in with sand all over her from the sand box and I told her to wait on the porch until I was done feeding Olivia and I'd come out and help me clean up, she had it all over her face and in her hair}
Taylor: Luke will you wait outside with me?
Luke: Umm. I worked really hard out there (in the sand box lol) I kinda wanna stay inside now.
Taylor: But I don't wanna be out here alone.
Luke: Well, you shouldn't have gotten so messy.
Taylor: Can you just come out and give me a hug Luke?
Luke: Ooooookay.
{they hug outside}
Taylor: I love you Luke.
Luke: I love you too Taylor. Now you wait for Mom to clean you up.
Taylor: {sigh} Okay.

----------------

Luke: MOM! Taylor isn't building me up, she's not being nice to me.
Me: Did you talk to her nicely about that?
Luke: No,.....Taylor, can you please build me up and be nice to me.
Taylor: {sigh} yeah.

{Be kind to one another and build each other up. 1 thes. 5:11}

-----------------

Kids are playing and Luke is pretending to drive an excavator to drop Taylor off at dance class. lol

-----------------

I'd forgotten how soft a newborn's skin is...all the newborn sounds...snoring ...hiccups and sneezes....so sweet.

-----------------

Taylor: Isn't it fun to just relax and play games mom? :)

-----------------

Taylor: I wanna pray for peace for Mommy and for Daddy to grow into a strong and mighty man and Mommy into a beautiful young woman.....{on and on}

------------------

Taylor: {talking to Luke while they were cleaning the floor, Luke had a dust pan and Taylor had the Swiffer} Isn't it nice of Ali {our dog} to shed dog hair for us to clean up.
Luke: Yeah
Taylor: It's nice of him isn't it. :)

------------------

{Taylor fell and scraped her knee and elbow up}
Luke: No hurt is too big for God Taylor. God I pray you would heal Taylor's knee and elbow in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Taylor: Thanks Luke, it's doesn't hurt anymore.

------------------

{Taylor and Luke cleaning up after breakfast while I fed the baby}
Taylor: {to Luke} We're good mommy's helpers aren't we?
Luke: Yeah, she's really lucky to have us.

------------------

Taylor: {to Olivia} I missed you sooooo much when you were on Mommys belly. Are you talking to your big sister, pumpkin? I'm gonna teach you how to talk, ok? {she's not kidding, lol...the expert of talking}

------------------

{crazy hair day at vbs}
Luke: I don't want my hair to be crazy. {shocker lol}
Taylor: Mommy, I don't want my hair to be crazed. I like it the way it is.

------------------

You probably didn't get enough sleep IF you put coffee grounds directly into your coffee cup instead of the coffee maker. :)

-----------------

{Today on the way to docs appt}
Taylor: So only God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit know when we're gonna die right? {this is a common conversation}
Me: Yup.
Luke: Yeah, God decides when we're gonna die, only he knows, no one else.
Taylor: Well, God, Jesus AND the Holy Spirit.
Me: Yup.
Taylor: Well, when I get to heaven I'm going to ride a rainbow horse ALL day!
Luke: There's no sadness in heaven Mom. No one fights or is sick, we just get to hang out with Jesus.
Me: Yup.
Taylor: Mom, in heaven, when we all get there, will you ride horses with me?
Me: Sure.
Luke: I don't know if I wanna do that Taylor.
Taylor: ooooo Luke. {sigh}

Luke: {running to me upset} I asked Taylor if she would pray for the cut on my toe and she wouldn't and that isn't very nice.
Taylor: I didn't want to.
Luke: BUT you have to pray for me...especially if I ask you nicely.

---------------

Luke: {putting his hand on my belly} So when is baby sister coming out anyway?
Me: I don't know?
Luke: Only God knows huh? We don't know when she's coming, but he does and he's the only one.

----------------

Last night the kids got to feel their baby sister's hiccups. They thought it was so neat and giggled. She's not been much of a hiccup baby...Luke and Taylor had them daily or maybe because it was 2, it was double the amount. :)

----------------

My client cc'd me on an email to his coworker, "If you want that ad created or modified, you better get to her before she gives birth." hahaha...cracks me up. :)

---------------

In his efforts to try and wake me up this morning, Luke comes in with his guitar and sings Blessed Be Your Name and My Soul Magnifies the Lord. :)

---------------

{bath time talk}
Taylor: I made a rule for my friends that they shouldn't squirt anyone in the eye. {looking at Luke intently}
Luke: I made a rule for my friends that they should be nice and not selfish. Isn't that a good rule mom?
Me: Yeah
Luke: My rule is God's rule so it's a good one.

Taylor: Mom, ya know why they call it a swing set?
Me: No why?
Taylor: Cuz it has swings on it and grandma and pappy set it up. :)

----------------

{Taylor wanted to continue to do "schoolwork" outside while Luke and I went inside to make lunch, So I told her I'd be right by the window if she needed anything}
Taylor: Guys, I NEED HELP! {I peeked out and she's fine just still looking at her book}
Me: What's wrong?
{Luke instantly RUNS and gets his flip flops on and yells to her...}
Luke: I'M COMING TO HELP YOU TAYLOR!
{I start to walk out and Luke stops me}
Luke: MOM! I'm going to help her, she wants me, I can handle it.
{he helps her and they come running back in all excited}
Taylor: Guess what Mom? Luke came and helped me color all my number 2's blue..we did it together, wasn't that nice of him?
Luke: Yeah...she needed help so, I helped her cuz that's what God wants us to do when someone needs help. {gleaming}
{Taylor's gonna have some high expectations from a husband someday with the brother she has :)}

Snippets

Taylor {at bedtime prayer} I'm gonna teach my little sister all about believing in Jesus and God and she's gonna wear my clothes, and I'm gonna sing the piggie song with her. (this little piggy went to the market)
Luke: I can't wait until I can teach her to play with her toys, especially the killer whale. But you have to be VERY careful with babies because their skin is really soft. :)

--------------------

Me: {after reading about Josiah} What would you do if you were King or Queen?
Taylor: I would obey God and do what he wanted me to.
Luke: Umm, I don't really wanna be King, I just wanna be a sports player. A hitter, like in baseball and golf.

---------------------

Baby girl is head down, cervix isn't doing anything, ultrasound next week to see how big she is. Still measuring 2 weeks small, 25th percentile but as my doc said, "She's not gonna be a big baby but you're still gonna have to get her outta there." lol

---------------------

Luke: Taylor if you keep whining and begging, I'm gonna call you Delilah, cuz that's what she did.
Taylor: {grunt}

---------------------

I love listening to the kids make up stories together.
Luke: Hey Taylor, remember when my 10 kids got chased by that lion, that was crazy, huh.
Taylor: I know, and then you came over to my house after.
Luke: Yeah, remember I drove your car because you didn't have it.
Taylor: Yeah and then we all played at my house all day.
Luke: Yup then you came to my house.

.....on and on....

----------------------

What a blessing. Not only did the kids spend the whole day having a blast at the Stoner's while Nick and I packed and cleaned out the attic, but then we got a homemade meal for dinner...meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas and HOMEMADE bread that Luke and Taylor "helped" with. ♥

----------------------

{To Nick when he came home}
Taylor: Did you get pulled over today Dad?
Nick: No...
Taylor: YAY, Daddy, good job for not getting pulled over.
Nick: Thanks sis.
Taylor: Did they take you to jail when you got pulled over?
Nick: No.
Taylor: That's good.

-----------------------

{Luke and Taylor playing cars with the community I drew for them complete with Isaacs, Chilis, Rutters, Post Office and McD's}
Luke: I'm gonna park right here!
Taylor: Did the police officer say you could park there?
Luke: No, but Mom did

----------------------

Miss Taylor strapped herself into her 5 point harness car seat 3 times ALL by herself today! I'm all about it, because soon, I'll have a baby to get in the car too! Luke can get the top part and he's working on it too. :)

----------------------

{eating outside of Panera, there was a man without a shirt on}
Luke: Dad, Why is that man naked?
Shirtless man's lady friend: What did he say?
Nick: {smiling at her trying to avoid answering}
Shirtless man's lady friend: What did he say?
Nick: He asked why he was naked.
{couple laughed}
{As we were leaving we saw the couple on a motorcycle.
Luke: Mom, look, there's the naked man and his wife on a motorcycle!
Me: I see.
Luke: Mom, he doesn't have enough clothes on.
Taylor: He has shorts on.
Luke: Well....that's not enough.
Taylor: His wife has a shirt on.
Luke: Yeah but her husband needs to put some clothes on.

--------------------

Nothing like a completely unexpected deep spiritual conversation with two 4 yr olds that lasted about an hour before bedtime. I adore them and this age of asking questions. ♥ Questions such as:

Luke: Why can no one come to the Father except by Jesus? (John 14:6)

Taylor: You get baptized because you believe in Jesus, right? You believe in Jesus first and then get baptized?

Luke: Why was the one man on the cross mean to Jesus? He didn't go to Heaven with him did he, he was mean and did bad things? The other man even though he stole stuff and did bad sins went to heaven with Jesus, why the one man and not the other?

Taylor: Did God want the soldiers to kill Jesus? How can God love those soldiers still when they were so mean to Jesus?

------------------------

Taylor: {to Daddy} Oh Daddy, I like your belt today.
Daddy: Thanks.
Taylor: Yeah...it matches your pants.
Daddy: Yup.
Taylor: Where did you get those pants Dad, Rite Aid?
Daddy: No.
Taylor: Did you get them at a clothes store?
Daddy: Yup.
Taylor: Oh I like them.

------------------------

{Taylor was flipping her hair forward and back}
Taylor: Look Mom, my hair's like Katie's.
Me: Katie who?
Taylor: You know.......Katie...like Laura and Hope and Sue and Katie?
Me: Ohhh...Katie Althouse.
Taylor: Yeah. You're hair is the same color as Katie's. Mine's more like Laura's color. But you have those pieces in your hair that look like mine.
Me: Highlights.
Taylor: Yeah....you have like all kinds color of hair. Did you know that Laura is ticklish? And She was throwing up popcorn and catching it in her mouth and stuff and stinker pot was too......they are SOOOOO silly.

--------------------------

Me: Sissy, come here please.
Taylor: I'm Taylor. Call me Taylor. {this is a first}
Luke: You're real name is Sissy, not Taylor.
Taylor: No Luke. My real name is Taylor.
Luke: It's Sissy, Taylor.

--------------------------

Taylor: Can I push you on the swing Luke?
Luke: IIIIIIIII dunno if you can push me Taylor. Cuz I'm really big now and older. I'm 4.

-------------------------

Luke: {at dinner} The people at my church don't have houses. They don't have any place to live and they don't know God. Isn't that sad?
Me: Yeah. Why don't you tell them about God.
Luke: Well...there's a teacher there and he tells them about God.
Me: Oh, well that's good.
Luke: Yeah...I'm gonna build them houses to live in.
Taylor: They can stay with us if they don't have a place to live.
Luke: Yeah but I'm gonna build them their own houses...I got a lot of houses to build.

---------------------

Watching the kids watch Danny Tanner & Lorrie Tanner sing Blessed Be Your Name on our wedding video...Luke is playing his guitar and singing into his microphone just like Danny and Taylor has her tutu on and is dancing her little heart out. {melts my heart ♥ love ♥}

--------------------

Taylor was praying tonight and she thanked God for his Mighty Power! :) Amen.

-------------------

Luke: Moooooooommmmmm....I can't get my socks on!!!
Taylor: Luke, You can do EVERYTHING through Jesus who gives you strength! (phil 4:13) :)

------------------

Luke: {looking into mirror} Mom, look how much older I look. Can you believe I'm 4?

-----------------

Taylor: (to Luke) Buddy, I can't believe you're 4 now.
Luke: I know, I'm so big now.

----------------

{Taylor was doing a puzzle and Taylor didn't want help from Luke and they were arguing about sharing it...then she at one point got tired of doing the puzzle and walked away and Luke started working on it}
Taylor: Luke, can I help you with the puzzle?
Luke: Sure Taylor, you can share with me.
Taylor: I love you Luke.
Luke: Thanks Taylor, I love you too.
Taylor: I'm glad you're my brother.

----------------

Seriously can not believe Luke and Taylor will be 4 tomorrow. Crazy. When the kids had asked WHEN the baby was gonna be born we said when they were 4.

Luke: So our baby sister is gonna be born tomorrow when we're 4 right? :) (mister literal)

--------------

{kids went to docs check up with me and there was a mirror on the door in the exam room and they were dancing like crazy to the music when the doc came in and then froze when she walked in} hehe

They got to hear the heartbeat and are getting excited! Taylor keeps saying she wants to go to the hospital with me to have her. ;)

----------------

Luke and Taylor were arguing in the car over who was not looking at the other nicely first}

Luke: Taylor THAT was a mean face and it doesn't make God happy when you're mean to me, it's a sin.

Taylor: Well Luke...God says, Be kind to one another and build each other up. (1 Thes 5:11) AND you're NOT being kind OR building me up.

Luke: Well Taylor, you're being mean and that's a sin and that makes God sad and you don't wanna make God sad do you?

---------------

Taylor: {having her headband flower in her hair by herself that wasn't under her hair and was all jacked up...cracked me up} Mom....I think I'm gonna have to lose this headband....it's messing me up and freaking me out. :)

---------------

Me: Taylor can you get the vacuum cleaner out and ready for me?
Taylor: {dragging it out with ALL her might, unwinding the cord, and pressing the ON button} Mom...this thing is freaking me out. It's not working. ;)

--------------

Taylor: Hey Mom, I already picked out my outfit and Luke's outfit for today, so you don't have to worry about it.
{was seriously surprised...she did AWESOME. A dress for her with skinny jeans and a long sleeve shirt under, matching socks and jeans and orange long sleeve shirt for Luke with matching blue and orange socks}

------------

{last night}
Taylor: I love Jesus SO MUCH that I want to give my life to him.
Nick: What does that mean, to give your life to him?
Taylor: It means you get baptized. :)
{then today}
Taylor: I love Jesus SO MUCH that I want to give my life to him!
Me: What do you think it means to give your life to Jesus?
Taylor: It means I get baptized, I obey Jesus and follow him and love him with ALL MY HEART FOREVER and EVER!
Luke: Yeah...Cuz Jesus likes when we do that, huh Mom?
{not a bad understanding of what it's all about from a 3 almost 4 year old}

---------------

{Coming home from haircut}
Luke: Mommy, why is your hair short? {very concerned lol}
Me: Because I got a haircut.
Luke: But Mom. I don't want it short. I want you to grow it long like Taylor's.
{funny thing was.....I KNEW I'd get this reaction from him}
{Taylor for the most part was pretty neutral, then at bedtime}
Taylor: {As I was walking out of their bedroom} Mommy, I like your haircut.
Me: Thank you!
Luke: I still don't like it, it's TOO short.

----------------

{Taylor fell and scraped her knee in the stones, made a nice hole in her jeans}
Taylor: {crying}
Luke: Ohhhh there's blood, that's not good. What happened Taylor? How did you fall down?
Taylor: {not ready to talk}
Luke: Well Mom, we better pray for Jesus to heal it cuz it's pretty bad.
Me: {nodded for him to pray}
Luke: Dear God, I pray you would heal Taylor's knee in the name of Jesus and help her to deal with the pain. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Taylor: {still pouting} Thank you Luke.
Luke: I'm a nice brother aren't I, Taylor?
Taylor: Yeah.

---------------

While we were reading devotions Luke had his hand on my belly and he started feeling the baby kick, he literally giggled for about a half an hour feeling her kick and kept saying, I love my baby sister. :)

--------------

Taylor: Mom, I love you so much that I give my life for you.

-------------

{the last part of Taylor's prayer last night...of course after listing off as many names as we'd possibly let her}
Taylor: I want to pray that Jesus would protect us from our enemies. And pray that Jesus would help me obey Mama and Daddy and that Jesus would give Mama and Daddy wisdom for decisions with the house and that Luke Michael Bair would love me. :) {♥ this girl}

Taylor: Hey Luke! Wanna go and play like crazy like?
Luke: Taylor, I don't think that's a good idea.
Taylor: But I like playing crazy.
Luke: I know you do but I don't think it's a good idea.

-----------------

Luke: Mommy, God wants us to share our blessings and Taylor is not sharing her blessings with me. {he was speaking of a bath toy}

----------------

{Bathtime...was washing Luke's hair...}
Taylor: Wow Luke you look beautiful.
Luke: I do NOT look beautiful Taylor.
Taylor: YES you DO!
Luke: Boys play sports, they are NOT beautiful.
Taylor: You're still beautiful.
Luke: NO I'm NOT
Me: Some girls play sports.
Luke: Yeah and they are still beautiful when they play sports but NOT boys.
Taylor: Luke, some boys do ballet and that's beautiful.
Luke: I know but they are cool not beautiful.

-------------

{kids were napping and I was making pasta salad}
Taylor: {out of no where, from upstairs} I SMELL NOODLES!!!!!!!!
Me: Taylor quiet...Luke's sleeping.
Taylor: {yelling} How come he never wakes up when I talk loud?
Me: Taylor, come down and be quiet.
Taylor: {yelling} I don't know why he doesn't wake up? He's weird. How come he never wakes up when I'm loud Mom?

Snippets catch up

Amazing time tonight, for many reasons. God is so GOOD! Worshipping with Danen Kane and Mike who truly bring god glory through their music and leading of worship, Connecting with people from several churches in our community, blessing A Little Bit of Heaven by having God's people gather there, witnessing my daughter dance and sing her heart out in worship and watching my son stomp his foot and sing his heart out, LOUDY especially to the Revelation Song. Makes my heart melt. I think God was smiling down on us tonight.

------------------------

Luke: Taylor, I got those makeup brushes for Mommy's makeup, NOT to play with.
Taylor: Luke, you are NOT my parent.
Luke: We're supposed to obey Taylor and those brushes are NOT to play with. I'm helping you to obey.
Taylor: {sigh} I can obey without you being my parent.
Luke: I'm trying to help you obey, Taylor.

------------------------

Taylor: {snuggling up to my belly before bedtime} Aww...Hi my little baby sister...I love you little girlie girl. What are you doing in there? You have a good night night. Love you! {kisses my belly}

------------------------

Luke: Mom, I'm gonna eat you up!
Me: I'm gonna eat you up!
Luke: But then you wouldn't have any kids Mom!
Me: Then what would I do?
Taylor: If you ate us up, we would just go to heaven.
Luke: Yup.
Taylor: Mom, when are we gonna go to heaven?
Me: I don't know. Only God and Jesus know that.
Luke: Yeah Taylor, we don't know when, only God knows when.

-----------------------

{looking at a book there was an illustration of kids building a king tut in the snow}
Luke: What are they doing?
Me: Building a statue out of snow.
Luke: THAT IS NOT GOOD!
Me: Why not?
Luke: Cuz God doesn't like us to worship statues. We're only supposed to worship God. :)

----------------------

Me: So what did you think of Hobby Lobby?
Taylor: It was adorable.
Luke: It was huge.

----------------------

{I asked the kids who wanted to pray before we ate lunch and Luke raised his hand high}
Luke: God, I wanna thank you for Mommy and Daddy and my sister and this beautiful day and that we were able to have so much fun today and for the sunshine and for Jesus because we love him so much that he died for our sins and for this amazing day and that Daddy will come home safe. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. {anytime we get to eat lunch outside like the last 2 days...the kids prayers are so thankful. Oh how being in God's creation lifts our spirits. :)}

-----------------------

{Kids got in trouble for hitting each other, they both got decked and so they had to sit in same room I was in until I was finished putting away laundry, they sat for a while, then I hear this...}
Luke: {sigh} Ya know Taylor. I was wrong for hitting you. Will you forgive me?
Taylor: I forgive you. {sigh} Yeah I was wrong for hitting you too Luke. Do you forgive me?
{I look over and they are hugging}

{We always make them say they were wrong and ask for forgiveness after they do something wrong to someone else once they sit for a little and cool down...so they are used to the process. What was really sweet about this is that normally Miss Taylor is reluctant to follow through. I have to stand there until she does and sometimes she has to repeat it because of her attitude/body language/tone of voice. Luke almost always wants forgiveness from Taylor quickly, even though he repeats the offense more often. Totally different personalities. In this instance, it was genuine in their voices and body language and they did it on their own which was sweet to watch as a parent.}

---------------------

Especially after all the hesitation Luke has had about having his own room (without Taylor) it was especially sweet to see how his face lit up when he saw his room today with drywall. I had no idea how much the drywall would make the kids feel like it's a room. He kept running in and out of his room and wanted us to all stand in his big closet. He was so excited. They kept running back and forth from each other's rooms through their bathroom, jumping in and out of their closets.

----------------------

{Nick walked in the room after getting dressed for work}
Luke: You look kinda sharp Dad. They look like the pants you wore to Mommy's wedding.
Nick: Thanks Buddy.
Taylor: Did you finally find them Dad?
Nick: Yup.
Taylor: Oh, that's nice.

----------------------

Taylor: Mama, when I got up this morning I was grouchy and I was worried about you because I couldn't find you and I didn't get to cuddle with you this morning. But I decided to change my attitude and now I'm happy. :)

---------------------

The farmer behind us was moving manure {cow poopie as Luke and Taylor call it} and we got to see him using two tractors, one to scoop and one to haul it off. Was quite the entertainment especially for Luke. Kids were waving to the farmer and he was waving. :) I told them we'd watch him finish the load he was on and then it was time to go in for nap.
Taylor: Okay Mom, we can watch him again next year right? So Why do they put cow poopie all over the field?
Me: So the plants will grow.
Taylor: What kinda plants?
Me: Any..Like corn, soybeans, veggies...
Luke: And tomatoes and carrots....
Taylor: Gross then don't they have poopie all over them?
Luke: Mom, that's disgusting.
Taylor: That's horrible.
Me: Well, I guess the rain washes it off and then we wash it again before we eat it.
Taylor: Still gross that farmers do that.
Luke: And it's SOOO stinky!

----------------

Taylor was gathering rocks outside while singing Amazing Grace. {then she got sap in her hair from some pine cones that did NOT come out so it had to be cut a little} :)

----------------

Luke and Taylor have been into pushing me on the swings. They giggle and laugh like crazy and Taylor says she's swinging her baby sister. :)

Luke and Taylor started singing this song when we were at the new house Wednesday. Oh how I love when they sing something in perfect timing. They've been singing it a lot lately. The reminder I needed.
Lyrics:
The Lord has given this land to us
No need to fuss, He knows what He's doing
We know that He will take care of us
If we will follow Him.
The Lord has given this land to us
No need to fuss, He knows what He's doing
We know that He will take care of us
If we will follow Him.

The Lord has given this land to us
No need to fuss, He knows what He's doing
We know that He will take care of us
If we will follow Him.

God's way is the best way,
Now that I know He loves me so
His way is the best way
And that's the way for me!

Love hearing Luke and Taylor reading their bibles to their "friends" {stuffed animals} ♥

------------

Luke: You look beautiful in that skirt Taylor.
Taylor: Aw, thanks Luke. That was so nice of you Luke.

------------

Taylor: Luke this box is heavy. You should probably carry it up the stairs for Mom and I cause you're really strong.
Luke: Yeah...I am strong. I'm really big now. I'm gonna be bigger than Daddy.

{Luke comes over to me after watching Taylor on the computer}
Luke: {sighs and leans on couch} Mom, Taylor is making me exhausted.
Me: Why.
Luke: She just is. Watching her makes me tired.

----------

{during story/cuddle time}
Luke: Mommy, we like to listen to you when you tell us to cuddle up close. That's easy to obey because we like to cuddle and read stories with you. :) ♥

{Taylor giggling and hugging and kissing my belly}
Taylor: I love you my little girly girl. :)

Taylor: Luke let's play hide and seek! Okay...Luke, you hide right here and I'll come and find you. {funny thing is the anticipation about kills them even when they know where they will find each other)

-------------

Cutest thing yesterday. The kids went with Nick and I to pick out fixtures for the house. After a few stores with nothing in stock, we found what we needed and Luke and Taylor were SO BIG putting ALL the boxes on the counter to check out and back on the cart...and of course then helped Daddy push it. They were SO PROUD of themselves. Luke keeps saying how BIG he is carrying all those heavy boxes. ♥ ♥ ♥

-------------

Luke: Taylor, we need to read this book to our friends so they know about Jesus.
Taylor: Yeah Luke, that's a good idea.
Luke: Yeah cuz they don't know how much Jesus loves them.
Luke: Mom, isn't it sad that our friends don't know how much Jesus loves children. They don't know how much he loves them and we need to tell them because they are sad. Jesus loves them so much ALL the time and they need to know that. ♥

-------------

Lorrie Tanner:
While the cubs were here last night...

Me: Would you help clean up the toys please?
Taylor: (politely) Those are boy toys. I don't want to clean them up.
Luke: (cheerfully) That's ok. I will clean them up for you.

What??? Whose kids say that?!
:)

-------------

Luke: Look Mommy at the angel I drew!
Me: Wow, Luke...I like that angel.
Luke: Do you know how I learned to draw that angel?
Me: I don't know.
Luke: Cuz I must be big now. huh?
Me: Must be. :)

--------------

Me: Where's my phone?
Taylor: Oh it's in my purse. If it rings or you get a text, I'll give it to you.

----------------

Taylor: Mom, where's your phone at...I'm expecting a call.
Me: I have it.
Taylor: Mom, {sigh} I just missed my call.
{really??}

{while the kids were eating lunch}
Taylor: Hey Luke, what happens when you ONLY pray to the king?
Luke: You go to the LIONS DEN!
Taylor: Good job Luke! You are soo smart. We only pray to Jesus and God right? Not kings.
Luke: Yeah....we don't need to pray to kings. Jesus and God hear us when we pray.

{this morning while I was getting ready the kids come into the bathroom with very concerned looks on their faces}
Taylor: Mom...we need your help. A lion ate the princess and we need help getting her out of the lions mouth!
Luke: Yeah it's not good. The princess is in the lions belly in pieces.
{I follow them into their room} Me: Where's the lion?
Taylor: RIGHT HERE! Can't you see it? I can't believe this happened.
{looking at the empty floor where they are imagining all of this, I then pretend to pry the lion's mouth open and tell Taylor to get the princess}
Taylor: Oh no, this is not good. She's ALL busted up.
Me: What should we do?
Luke: It's okay, Jesus will heal her. Let's just pray for her.
{so they did}

----------

{then I hear}
Luke: Blow your horn Taylor.
Taylor: OK {and I hear them blowing their "horns"}
Luke: OK now YELL as loud as you can! {yelling}
Both: YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luke: The Wall came down!!!!!!
Me: What are you guys doing?
Luke: I'm Joshua and we're making the Jericho wall come down.

-----------

{then}
Taylor: Hey mama, come here!
{walk in and they have their play tent and they are pretending to hammer it}
Me: What are you doing?
Taylor: We're building you a house! Isn't it beautiful?
Luke: Yeah........we're doing a good job aren't we Mom? We're good workers and we work REALLY hard!

Girls day today consisted of wearing pink (Taylor insisted we match) going to the store to get pink cupcake stuff, making ALL pink cupcakes and decorating them, making a BUNCH of beaded necklaces and bracelets, and making mini pizzas for lunch. :) So much fun spending one on one time with Miss Taylor. She was LOVING it! Boys went to a wrestling match with the Santana boys. Fun day for all. :)

Luke: {randomly before tucking him in for nap}:
Mom, how do caterpillars go potty?
Me: What do you mean, they just go?
Luke: But where does it come out? They don't have a heiney.

{bathtime this AM the kids were baptizing their toys}
Luke: Pirate, I baptize you in the name of the Father, {dunk}
In the name of the Son, {dunk} AND
In the name of the Holy Spirit {dunk and clapping/yay's, then he prayed for the pirate}
Luke: I pray pirate that you will not longer be lost, and that you'd obey God with ALL your heart. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
{Then Taylor with her mermaid}
Taylor: {holding her mermaid up} I believe in Jesus!
I baptize you in the name of the Father, {dunk}
In the name of the Son, {dunk} AND
In the name of the Holy Spirit {dunk and clapping/yay's, then he prayed for the mermaid}
Taylor: I pray Jesus would protect you and give you wisdom. In Jesus Name I Pray, AMEN.
{then}
They started filling their containers with water pretending to be Rebecca giving water to Isaac's servant's camels. :)

------------------------

{Nick}
I was baptized three (3) times this evening by Pastor Danny Tanner and Pastor Lorrie Tanner (Luke & Taylor respectively)!!! They've got the whole thing down, Pastor Lorrie even prayed for me after I came up out of the "water". I must say I'm impressed as well as a new man!
{Robin}
I heard this from upstairs, "In the name of the Father, In the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit!" then lots of clapping! :)

Taylor: C'mon Mom, I'm sooo excited. We're gonna take out friends to heaven so Jesus can heal them in the name of Jesus Christ!
{walk into their room and ALL of their stuffed animals and babies are wrapped up in Luke's comforter on the floor}
Me: How are we gonna lift them to heaven?
Luke: Well you see...heaven is my bed and we need your help to lift them to heaven.
{so we lifted them onto Luke's bed}
Taylor: I'm so excited, so excited. Now they won't be blinded anymore. Jesus and God are healing them!
Luke: Thank you Jesus and God....my friends are healed!

This is the kids when we came back from peeking at the new house. They ran ahead of me, thinking they were super fast, and they sat at the door and waited for me, then told me how fast they are, and asked me to take their picture.

Same thing happened today with the kids running in front of me and sitting on the step. This time...I had my real camera. :) Notice Miss Taylor's shoes. Luke doesn't have any mud on his...hers are covered on the bottom. Typical.

-----------------------

I love how Luke jumps up and down in excitement every time he flushes the toilet. lol Cracks me up. I wonder at what age he'll stop doing that.

----------------

{driving in car, showed kids where we lived before they were born}
Taylor: Mom, so where were we at before we were in your belly?
Me: God hadn't made you yet.
Taylor: Were we with Jesus before we were in your belly?
Me: God loved and knew about you before you were born but he didn't make you until he made you in my belly.
Taylor: Hmm.
{this girls questions are deep}

----------------

{Luke and Taylor were playing groceries and had play money out}
Luke: Look Mom, at all these coins? I'm going to put ALL these into the box because I'm a rich man. You be the poor woman Taylor.
Taylor: Okay, I'm the poor woman who only has a little to give but she made Jesus sooo happy.

Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.
Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-44

{cracks me up when Luke and Taylor play and Luke's the Daddy and Taylor is his little girl, fits them so well. :)}
Taylor: Daddy: Can I get this little bunny?
Luke: Yes, honey.
Taylor: Daddy, Can I get this doll?
Luke: Ummm, well....I guess so.
Taylor: OH THANK YOU DADDY!
Luke: You're welcome honey. Ya know, sometimes when kids don't obey me, I have to spank them. Cuz, God wants kids to obey their parents. That makes God happy.
Taylor: You're not gonna spank me are you Daddy?
Luke: No, you're being so good and obeying your Daddy.
Taylor: I love you Daddy. {giving him a big hug}

----------------

Taylor: Mommy, I love your husband THIS MUCH! :

Me: Taylor, come here a minute.
Taylor: {peeking out of the office with her play phone on her ear and whispering sternly} I'm on the phone right now.... shhhhh!

{Last 2 mornings Taylor's been getting dressed completely by herself and she's very proud of herself}
Taylor: Mom, I'm sooooo big, ya can't believe it can you. I can get dressed ALLLLL by myself. Luke, can ya believe it? Mom...come here and stand next to me, I think I'm taller than you now......ALLLLMOST! :)

Baby #3

1st Belly Shot, just shy of 18 weeks.

Looks like I'll get to experience what it's like to carry one baby at a time. :) God is good. :)

Nick and I were completely shocked by the news of baby #3, but God wasn't. Nick and I didn't think it was possible, but with God all things are possible.

Psalm 139:13-16
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

In October...all the sudden coffee didn't taste good, I remember noticing when we were up at Uncle Tim and Kathy's cabin. Didn't think much more of it. But didn't want coffee anymore. Nick joked about maybe I was pregnant but we didn't think much more about it.

In November...went up to my parents to visit and they had gotten KFC. The smell almost made me vomit. Whoah.....that only happened once before that a smell made me feel that sick.

That Wednesday night I picked up a home pregnancy test, still thinking I was nuts but felt weird enough about the smell incident to take it.

That Friday morning I took the test when I got up. Nick had already gone to work. It was positive! WHAT?! I wanted to wait until Nick got home to tell him so I waited ALL DAY. I put the test into an envelope with the results sheet, wrote Daddy on the outside of the envelope and told Taylor to give it to him when he got home. He kept asking what it was, but then he opened it, smiled and said he told me. :) So I started trying to remember when I last had my period. Might sound weird but I NEVER keep track of it and when you don't think you can get pregnant. You don't really worry about it. So I start thinking....ummm....did I even have it in October? No. Then I remembered that I had gotten it when we went to the zoo. So I looked back at my calendar to see when we went to the zoo. OH MY! September 19th!

So I call the doctor to make an appointment and they wanted confirmation blood work first. Went and had that done and that came back positive. So they scheduled my first appointment which wasn't until DECEMBER...waited another month!

1st Appointment. December 9th.
I went in and got the talk and papers and the exam. Got to hear the baby's heartbeat and the nurse asked me if I was feeling movement. I said yes but I thought I was crazy since it was so early. She said she could feel the baby moving as she was trying to get the heart rate so she said the baby is moving a lot. Heart rate was 160 if I remember right. They hadn't planned on doing an ultrasound but it ended up that they had an opening while I was there. YAY! I was really wanted to see this little one because honestly, I was still doubting it being true. So we got an ultrasound and they confirmed the due date based on my last period. I was 11 weeks and 4 days. Due June 25th. Baby actually measured 12 weeks but the doctor said that wasn't enough difference to change the due date. I had brought a DVD just in case so they recorded the ultrasound. Baby was jumping around. :) I wanted to wait until Christmas day to tell people but Nick Bair, did not want to wait. He also didn't want to let the news out by accident and get in trouble. ;) So we announced it. I explained to Luke and Taylor that God had given us a very special surprise just like he had given Mary. Taylor seemed excited to be able to "help" Mommy and Luke had lots of questions about how this was all gonna go down. :) Luke of course wants a brother and Taylor wants a sister. We had Taylor give our parents the ultrasound picture and tell them that "Mommy has a baby in her belly!" It was cute was to announce it. :)

2nd Appointment. January 12th. 16 weeks, 3 days.
Quick appointment. Weighed me. Asked if I had any questions or problems and checked the heartbeat. Baby's heartbeat was in the 150's he said which is good. Right before this appointment I actually started seeing movement from the outside of my belly. Crazy. This baby is a mover and a shaker so far. It's so weird to not have regular ultrasounds. We got spoiled that way with having twins. This time around, most likely we'll only have 2. The initial one and then one at 22 weeks.

February 1st, 19 weeks
Nick felt the baby kick for the first time. :)

3rd Appointment February 9th, 20 weeks, 3 days.
Gained 4 pounds total so far.
Baby's heart rate was in the 130's
Experienced some Braxton Hick's contractions this week and some sharp ligament pain that lasted for 1/2 hour. Doctor said if I continue to have that combination, to let her know and they may do an ultrasound. Ultrasound is February 22nd.

February 20th, 22 weeks
Had a scare with some bleeding. Spent some time at the hospital to make sure everything was all right. I wasn't having any contractions, my cervix is completely closed and the baby is doing well. All good. The only issue to be safe was that I'm RH negative. So I just needed my antibody shot early. The baby was kicking and moving the whole time which helped me stay calm. :) Kinda weird my first visit with the twins was at 22 weeks. Pray for protection over this little one. :) Thank you Danny Tanner & Lorrie Tanner for taking the kids in a pinch. They had a great time of course!

22 Week Ultrasound
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!
She weighs about 1lb.
Checked for any possible reasons/problems from the bleeding and all looks normal.
Baby girl looks great. He said a little on the small side but with in the normal range.

Nick's response to the Ultrasound: "Well, now we have two weddings to pay for." ;)

Taylor was glowing...I didn't realize how much the kids wanted the baby in their room. Luke immediately said....but the baby can be in both our rooms right? He's not happy about Taylor not being in his room in the new house and I guess he was hoping to get a roommate. :)

March 8, 24 Week Appointment
Belly measuring in normal range
Said from the Ultrasound baby girl is in normal range, in the 25th percentile.
LOVING Captain Crunch and Coke slushies.
She's moving and kicking A LOT. :)

Appointments going as normal...

May 15th, 34 week Appointment
RH Negative shot, Still measuring in the 25th percentile, 2 weeks small.

May 29th, 36 week Appointment
Gained 2 lbs this time. Total of 19 lbs gained. Baby is head down, cervix isn't doing anything yet. Scheduled an ultrasound next week to see how big the baby is. Deb Brown said...she isn't gonna be a big baby but you still gotta get her out. lol
Heart rate's been consistently in the 140's.

June 4th, 37 week Appointment and Ultrasound
Didn't gain this time. Still total of 19 lbs gained.
Ultrasound showed the baby is measuring 6.0 lbs, 23rd percentile, she has plenty of fluid and everything looks healthy. Heart rate: 132. Head down, back sticking out of my belly and feet sticking out my right side. She's been pretty comfortable there for a few weeks.

June 11th, 38 week Appointment
Gained 2 lbs, 21lbs gained

June 18th, 39 week Appointment
Gained 2 lbs, 23lbs gained
Cervix is still long. Scheduled 40 week appointment with stress test and ultrasound, and scheduled a 41 week induction in case nothing happens before.
She said the baby is on target to be 6.5-7 lbs.  She said the head is really low and she shouldn't have any problems since the head is already down that low. She's still in the same position.

Olivia Eliana Bair has arrived! 19.5", 6 lbs 8.8 oz. Born 6/23/12 @ 1:14 AM. Her name means "God has answered". Thanks for all your prayers. They were answered!

Labor/Birth
Friday, June 22nd, 39 weeks and 4 days, in the morning I started having contractions that were consistently every 10 mins. I called the doctor and they said to wait until they were intense enough that I couldn't walk or talk through them. They weren't hard but they were consistent for a few hours and then not and then consistent again and then not. They started to get significantly hard around 9pm. We'd already put the kids to bed and by 9:30pm Nick laid down for bed and I told him I wanted to call the doc. At this point they really started to hurt and they were 5 mins and less. They said to come into Labor Hall to be checked. We got the kids ready to go to the Tanners and dropped them off on the way. The ride there was miserable because it is such a bumpy road. We got there at 10:15pm and they then sent me to the exam room. At this point they were really hurting. The nurse checked me and said I was only 2cm dilated. WHAT? All that pain and that's it? She said since the contractions seemed to be coming fast and were intense that instead of sending me home that she would monitor me for a bit. So they hooked up the stress test machine and I was really having trouble sitting or laying. I wanted to walk but I was hooked up to lots of cords. My contractions were fast and hard and they were off the paper chart every time. She came back and checked me again and I was 5cm. She said wow, that was quick, I think you'll be staying to have a baby. I got into a labor room and things progressed FAST. I've never experienced pain on that level before. I had no breaks in between contractions...they just kept coming. They decided to try Stadol. It didn't touch it. They made me sit down because they said I wouldn't be able to stand but I didn't feel any relief. They debated giving me an epidural because of how fast I was progressing but decided to try and said the baby may be drowsy when born. They did the epidural and my right leg kicked so they knew it went into it but within minutes I could feel it completely again. The doctor said based on the notes last time that I must have a rare spine with an airway through it making it impossible to numb both sides of the body at the same time. They tried laying me on my side to see if the meds would move but they didn't and I didn't feel numb at all in my right side anyhow. At this point I was miserable. I was gripping onto the hospital bed and screaming. It was embarrassing but I couldn't control it. Last time I could compose myself in between but this time I couldn't. They were trying to get the doctor in to break my water but a contraction broke it and it hurt so bad. I felt like she was coming out. They went into the hall and grabbed the doctor and nurses. I was fully dilated and pushed twice, once for her head and once for her shoulders. It was that quick. They said because it was so quick, I tore badly, straight through. 4th degree (highest) tear requiring 4 layers of stitches. I asked the doctor if he had record of the numbing medicine that was supposed to be ordered for me but he had already used what doesn't work at all on me so I felt everything. I tried to just stare at Olivia and forget the pain. She screamed and screamed and screamed! lol For what seemed like forever. I thought there was something wrong but she was just as upset as I was with the intensity of her arrival. She looked awesome. Healthy and sweet. I was so shocked when they put her on my belly because I didn't have that before. They took Luke and Taylor away after me getting a quick peek at them after they were swaddled up. It is AMAZING to experience a full term baby that wants to eat and after 2 weeks I feel so much better physically. The night she was born I couldn't sleep at all. The two nights after I kept waking, having anxiety attacks when I'd cramp because I thought I was having a contraction. I was a little traumatized. lol

Blood in her Diaper!
The Monday after her one week appointment, I changed her and saw she had blood in her diaper throughout her poop. Obviously that's a scary thing to see so I called the doctor and they made an appointment within a few hours to check her out. Turns out she had a small cut right inside that the doctor could see and she was pretty confident that's where the blood came from.

The best part of this story is Luke and Taylor. They were so concerned about her and they prayed back and forth the whole 1/2 hr drive there that Jesus would heal her in the name of Jesus. I cried the whole way there. I'm sure partially from hormones but also that my kids prayed so persistently for their little sister and also because I was not wanting her to have to go through any crazy testing to see where the blood was coming from. It was one of those moments...I was so proud of them. :) Olivia is blessed to have them for her siblings. :)

1 Month Appointment.
All is well. She was showing some signs of acid reflux but it's not preventing her from eating. In fact she GREW A LOT!  She's 22.5 inches long and weighs 9.8 lbs! 80 something percentile for height and 50 something for weight. Head circumference: 36.5 cm.

Luke: Ya know, this is the kind of bread that Jesus and the disciples ate together.

Taylor: I'm putting my wings on and I'm gonna fly way high, the whole way to heaven and you won't be able to reach me.
Luke: Yeah, we're going all by ourselves mom.
Me: What are you going to do there?
Luke: Well Jesus and God are hungry, so we're gonna take some food up to them.
Me: Really? What do they like to eat?
Taylor: Cookies.
Luke: And Pasta. We're gonna have dinner with them. :)

At just 11 weeks, I felt this baby moving...thought I was nuts but the nurse asked me if I felt movement because she felt him/her while checking the heart rate...and now at just 16 weeks I can see my belly moving from the outside. Crazy.

----------------------

{the last part of Taylor's prayer last night...of course after listing off as many names as we'd possibly let her}
Taylor: I want to pray that Jesus would protect us from our enemies. And pray that Jesus would help me obey Mama and Daddy and that Jesus would give Mama and Daddy wisdom for decisions with the house and that Luke Michael Bair would love me. :) {♥ this girl}

----------------------

{completely out of the blue} Luke: Mommy, do you know Jesus loves you ALL the time JUST the way you are because he made you? {I love when they take me off guard like that...I also love chasing them with the vacuum while they scream and run around, good times}

-----------------------

{Realized that Luke gave Ali, our dog more food which I didn't think he could reach, after explaining that they shouldn't feed Ali more than what I give him...} Luke: He was hungry Mom, so I got him some food. Taylor: {As she's hand feeding the dog} Mom, we have to feed him, we're babysitting him. :)
