6 Month Check Up

Luke waiting while Taylor gets checked.

You're not gonna make me cry are you?

Look at the bright light...I don't trust that doctor.

Taylor weighing in at 15lbs 3oz.  and 25-1/2 long
Still in the 25th percentile for height and weight and 10th for head circumference.
She watches the staff closely. Miss stone cold.

Luke weighing in at 22lbs even. 27-1/2 long.
95th percentile for weight, 75th for height and 50th for head circumference.
Yes, the size of his head is average.

All is well with the babies. They are over their first cold and were checked out by the doc. He said babies average 12-18 colds per year...so get used to it. He said to call the doctor if they have a fever of 101+ for 4 days, are excessively uncomfortable or if the cold lasts for more than 2 weeks. He recommended the sleep book again. I keep forgetting to order it. It's called "Solving Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Richard Ferber. Taylor has been much better sleeping the past few nights but he said, that's a great time to get it and have the time to read it. :) He said we could move them to stage 2 foods, now that a bought stage 1 in bulk at BJ's. He also said soon we can try rice krispies and cheerios, and then small bits of bland table food once they get used to more texture. The babies did well with their shots this time. Fussy the day after but no fevers. Miss T screamed as usual, wanted her pacifier and then glared at the doctor, not taking her eyes off him until we left. Luke screamed, bright red face, and then whimpered while I cuddled him.

New foods this week have been carrots and squash. They seemed to like both. Taylor is reaching for my hands and sitting up although she doesn't stay there for long. Too hyper. Luke is sitting up nicely with a little help and he's rolling to his belly multiple times and back. They both like to sleep on their bellies now which is cute. It's hard to keep them on a blanket now. They just don't stay in one place anymore. Not even for s second. :) It's getting busier.
