Happy 10 Months!

We LOVE no clothes....we're FREE!

Should we be serious...here's serious.
What kinda lens do you think mama uses?

Luke: Look how beef I am, do you like my hands on my hips, like this, do I look tough?
Taylor: Hmmm....I wonder if I could scale the couch and get the remote. (the answer is yes btw)

Luke, your love handles are out of control.

Luke: I love my feet...
Taylor: I wonder what that toy tastes like??

Taylor's glare cracks me up...this is the look people get from her at first.

Taylor: Can I crawl now????
Luke: My sister is amazing...all the moving she does....good for her. lol

Who wants to be thrown in the air?
Taylor: Me! Me!...Luke: Are you serious?

Luke: You are kidding right? Cuz I prefer cuddling...walks on the beach....sunsets. lol
Taylor: Can I sky dive?

Luke's blue steel zoolander modeling pose. AHHEMM.

Happy 10 Months! YAAAAAAYYYY!!

Let's give it up for LT! (applause)

Holding Hands, Cherrios, Puffs, Pasta, Bananas

Another adorable thing...the babies love to hold hands. It's a twin thing I suppose but it's so cute. Luke usually grabs for Taylor's hand but it goes both ways. Taylor likes petting Luke's hair....we're "working" on being gentle. lol

Trying the table foods. I'm not gonna lie...I'm not really having fun with this. Although it's getting better. Taylor is getting good at getting the cherrios into her mouth. Luke can pick them up but has no desire to lift them to his mouth. He can open his mouth for you to put them in though......stinker. If you try to "help" him or either of them for that matter....they yank their hand away. They don't like being helped. Luke liked the pasta and sauce. They did okay with little pieces of ripe banana but they still don't like new textures. They finally have the hang of puffs and cherrios but put something new in there and they gag and carry on. Good times. I'll tell ya.....the doc said to give them what we're eating at dinner. Does he know how we eat? Ya can't give them a hunk of frozen pizza. lol Guess this means we need to eat better. I like that I know what's in the baby food though. Nothing I can't pronounce...just the veggie, fruit and water for preparation. It also takes forever for them to eat this way......patience Robin......it's an all afternoon snack event. :) I suppose when they can feed themselves it'll all be worth it. (Then I'll miss feeding them). lol

Luke's version

There's so many things I could blog about. I just don't have the time when I think of things and the brain to remember what I was going to blog about when I had that thought. lol So many cute things are happening. One of the cutest thing is how they are now grabbing my legs. They pull at my pants and try to climb me. Like....hello...mom, do you know I'm down here?

This video is Luke just a few days ago...right after I filmed Taylor saying Maamaa. I think the reason I never get to posting the video is because they change so quick and then I get new and newer video and never have time to post it. Plus I'll need another hard drive for the video alone. Luke may seem quiet most times but this boy loves to scream and believe it or not I think he can scream at a more piercing decibel than his sister. It's rare, it's usually only with Nick and I but he gets so excited some time he just screams. OR he likes to scream this way when I'm in the shower...it echos in there and literally leaves my ears ringing. I took some video of him last night. Nick and I were cracking up.....I won't spoil it........the video will come soon. (I hope)

Happy Birthday

My dad turned 68 on March 2nd and I had to post this picture. I took it with my sister's camera and she posted it on facebook so I grabbed it. Wanted to share it. Taylor sat still on his lap for a few minutes...now THAT'S a gift. :) Happy Birthday Dad!

Mama

Taylor's been saying Maamaa all the time now. It's so darn cute. She screams it too. lol She said Mama and Dada on the same day when experimenting. She's on the Mama kick right now with a Dada here and there. She's getting better at repeating the sounds which is pretty cool too. Her hair is typical here......it's after a pony tail the day before...or after daddy washes it.

After how this week has gone...I need this cuteness. Taylor started with a goopy eye of yellow thick gook. Took her to the doc the next day and it of course looked a lot better by that time, she had a mild fever too. He gave me a prescription for pink eye in case it got worse again and gave me order to keep cleaning it and massaging her tear duct. Then, Luke got a running nose and fever. They've both had the runs on and off, I'm guessing from their new appearing teeth. Luke's been fussy on and off and I was up with him the night before last from 1-5am. He was super upset. Tylenol wasn't helping. I ended up putting the swing beside our bed and manually rocking him until he fell alseep. He's too heavy for the swing to move via battery. lol Stinks for me. Taylor's been waking on and off crying but she's really doing well at soothing herself back to sleep. She cuddles her bunny and finds her pacifier. They both seem to have sore throats, not having a normal appetite. Doesn't keep them from screaming though. Nick and I both have had headaches and their screaming was getting me a little stressed yesterday. It was the 3rd fussy day in a row and I was tired. I was glad to get a little break last night when I ran a few errands and they slept well last night. Sleep for mom and dad can make all the difference in the patience level. :) It's times like the video above that make it all worth it.

Nick also got some news at work that will affect us financially. Cuts here and there and insurance increases...normally it wouldn't be a big deal. I mean no one loves when those things happen but things are tighter than we've been used to and every little penny means more to us now. We both were emotionally drained. We try so hard to make ends meet and Nick works really hard and some things you just can control. We know God will provide what we need. He always has. We had a financial planner look at things for us and to no surprise our expenses are a lot higher than our income. A LOT, like 12,000/year higher. Seeing that in RED kinda put things into reality. We hadn't added my freelance income into the mix because we didn't want to rely on it. It's not consistent and Nick didn't want me to feel pressured to have to work X in order to pay bills. Well......this is how God provides. I added up my freelance for the year and I made about two hundred more than that deficit. Seriously...God provided just what we need. We keep trusting he'll keep doing that as we try to make smarter decisions on how we spend God's money and how we handle what he gives us. God is good.....ALL the time.
