Suggestions Anyone?

We've had an awesome offer from some friends to be able to go to the beach and stay at their condo for free! I'm sooooo excited. Nick's gonna help them out with putting in some windows and I'm like more excited then I've been in a long time. I'm soooo ready to take a vacation and I didn't think it was gonna happen for awhile since Nick lost his job and we've gotta be careful with our money. Last time it was warm I had newborns and we obviously were busy. I LOVE warm weather and I'm getting very excited about it since I wasn't out last year.

Okay....for the help I need.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for sun tents for the beach? I'd like one that's big enough for both babies. Something I can use at home outside too.

What's the best sunscreen to use on babies? I have some but I was wondering about the spray kind? Any suggestions?

I'd appreicate any help from the mom's out there.

HI! How exciting! I don't know about the tent's but I can recommend 2 sunscreens. I only use products that are paraben free (no harsh chemicals) so I am not sure if that was what you had in mind. If so, target carries the California Baby line that is very safe and also Kiss My Face has good clean sunscreen (although the California Baby would be my 1st choice since its easier to get). Neither are cheap though.

Have a wonderful time at the beach. You take such beautiful pictures, I can't wait to see ones from your vacation!

I don't know if it's possible, but if you can find a pier, that's a good place to set up near at the beach because you have built-in shade, less to carry!
We use the generic baby spray sunscreen.. spray kind is much easier to apply!
Have fun on vacation!

Nutragena has an awesome baby sunblock. It is not greasy and hardly has a smell. And -- sand doesn't stick to you when wearing it! I am not sure about the sun shade....

Have a fun trip! We are taking our first trip with the twins in June.

There's lots of tents out there for kids and beach, but keep in mind if it's windy. That always makes a tent interesting on the beach. If you have a private beach, it's nice because you just put the tent up when you get there and take it down when you leave. As far as the sunscreen, I love the spray, but get the clear, if you do. Doug's really fair and it works well, and I've been using it for the last couple years. If it's not marked 'clear' then you get this gloppy white stuff that you have to rub on anyhow. For the face, a lot come with a face stick. Get ears and backs of necks really good. Don't forget them. Kids are always bending down. I've used the full body suits from OneStepAhead website. They are the coolest because you don't have to use a ton of sunscreen and they wash out easily. Have a great time and take lots and lots of pictures!
