Docs Appt/Thanksgiving

We had a docs appt on Wednesday. (12 weeks 3 days)
No ultrasound yet, but we did get to hear the babies heartbeats again. One was beating at 152 and the other she said was 7 beats different. It was neat how easy it was for them to find them. She just touched my belly on one side and we heard the one and on the other side we heard the other. She said it's easy to find since I'm thin.

The doctor examined me and was suprised to find that my uterus is STILL tilted to my back. My backpain seems to get worse and worse everyday and I asked her if that was why. She said it's definately putting pressure on my back and the other pain I described to her she said was sciatic nerve pain. ALREADY? What is the world is it going to be like once I'm big? She said it shouldn't be long until it tilts forward into the normal position and that I would definately notice. She said then my backpain will be because my belly will make me off balance. She said my uterus is already big enough to be pushing up and out at the top of my stomach which I've started to notice.

An extra pillow for my legs and laying on my side have been blessings. I've been puking less (thank you lord!) I do still experience an overall blah feeling all day but I'm hoping that gets better every day.

Thanksgiving was awesome! Great food and eating all day is right down my alley. It's strange to have people gazing at my belly...is that how big breasted women feel? lol We ate lunch at the Fetrows and dinner at the Matthews. It was extra special this year because Ann came up with her family from NC. I wish she wasn't so far away, I just love her and she reminds me of my Grandma since her mom was Grandma's sister.

That's one thing I think about from time to time. How I wish my grandparents were still alive to see me pregnant. How I wished I could ask Grandma McGlaughlin was it was like when she was pregnant. (since I'm so much like her) I never thought to ask those questions and I wish I could see them as excited as my parents and Nick's parents are. I guess this pregnancy stuff makes you more emotional then normal. At the Matthews, I watched my cousins kids ride scooters around and around and I remembered doing that as a kid at grandmas only on old bikes and peddle tractors. How time flies by. It was hilarious to see my cousins tell their kids to slow down and be careful, when I remember what little speed demons they were as kids. I got to talk to my cousins wife, Heather who has 5 year old twins and that was really neat just to be able to talk to her and know someone else survived it and now they have beautiful healthy 5 year old girls.

I had a dream last night that I had a boy by c-section and they left the girl in because she wasn't done yet and they were going to take her out later. That's my first pregnancy related dream. I think going to the bathroom in the middle of the night keeps me from my dreaming.

I'm ready for bed. 10 hrs is what I seem to need these days. :)

Retreat & VA

Thank the Lord the retreat was awesome! I'm soooo glad I went and God kept me from puking the whole weekend! Actually I haven't puked since the day before the retreat.....whoohooo.

Speaking of cars.......we got another one and I sadi goodbye to the cougar. We got a Ford Explorer Limited and I love it. It got it's use quickly. We took it up with kids to Bedford County for the retreat and then to VA. I will say riding in the car is killer for my back. I plan to ask the doctor what is up with this back pain already.

Nick had a seminar in Richmond VA and his work said I could go along with. Fun right? It was actually but I took my laptop down there to get some freelance done and BAM, my laptop won't start, it died. Was very sad. So I ended up watching Discovery Health and Fight Girls for 2 days in a hotel. We decided to stay an extra night and day down there and drive down to VA beach and see Nick's sister Jody. It was fun seeing her in her element and we're glad we got the chance to go down and see her.

We got some good news from Nick's brother while we were in transit. Tony's girlfriend Tracy is expecting as well and she is due the same week as I am. Crazy! Gonna be Bair babies all over the place come may/june. lol

Now that I'm home I'm exhasted! Over this last 2 weeks, my belly popped out!!! My pants are tight and I feel like normal shirts just make me look fat in the middle. lol I got some maternity-like stuff which makes me look like there is a reason for the sudden belly.

I have a docs appt this wednesday, I'm ready, it seems like it's been awhile since the last one.

Bair Family Doubles?

1st Ultrasound: 6 weeks 5 days (October 12th 2007)

Pregnant with Twins! Our first ultrasound was on October 12th. We found out then that there were two lil boogers in there. Baby B however they weren't so sure about. His sac was much smaller than it should be even thought both babies were the same size. They told us that Baby B had a 50% chance of catching up. If he didn't, I would have no symptoms, he would just simply vanish. Soooooooooo..........we prayed and we prayed and we prayed and had all our friends pray that Baby B would catch up and be healthy by the next ultrasound.

PRAISE GOD, after the ultrasound on October 29th, the babies are only a few days apart which the doctor said is perfectly normal. Baby A measured 9 weeks and 1 day (heart rate 176) and Baby B measured 8 weeks and 5 days (heart rate 183). ALL GOOD. Now they look like lil tweetie birds. Baby A was moving all around, Baby B was moving too but not as much. It was kinda neat at one point during the ultrasound the yolk sac was perfectly over Baby B's head and it looked like a halo. I joked to Nick, see a girl. :) The tech tried to capture a picture of it but couldn't get it back again in the same position.

What's going on with me? BLAH...the worst smells in the world to me right now are eggs and pizza. I've been eating a lot of peanut butter and apples. I feel pretty sick until about dinner time. Smells drive me nuts though, the trash and the dishwasher. I'm still throwing up but not everyday, just have the all day sickness feeling. I usually feel better by dinner. I've been having dull back pain, the doc said that could be due to the fact that my uterus is tilted against my back and hasn't flipped up into place yet.

2nd Ultrasound: 9 weeks 1 day (October 29, 2007)
